DKNY - My new (expensive) craze.

I would like to thank Ashley Greene for making me want $300 dresses and the like. Thanks Ashley. Thanks a bunch lady! <3

It all began way back in 2011 (possibly earlier) when Donna Karan started making Ashley dresses for events. Like, personally making them, not from a collection, MAKING THEM FOR HER, although Ashley has worn some collection pieces too! So yes. Ashley was pretty lucky to have such a cool designer on hand! :)

Some examples of Donna's magical creations for Ashley are:
Breaking Dawn Part 1 World premiere - 2011.
One of my favourite dresses Donna's made. AMAZING!

MET Ball -2011
I was blown away with this dress, it's just incredible!

Avon Gala - 2011
It's blue. It's shiny. It's pretty. It's sleek. It's sexy.
It makes Ashley look darn more beautiful than she already is, and she's already FLAWLESS.

MET Ball - 2012
I literally thought an angel had fallen from heaven. Did it hurt, Ashley?

Breaking Dawn Part 1 New York Premiere (same bloody day as the UK premiere!) - 2011
It's a unique design, making Ashley look ultra-slim and just awesome. Knocked Nikki Reed's icky green thing out the park.

Young Hollywood Awards - 2012.
I was pretty surprised she wasn't wearing a dress, it's awesome! Gives her an AH-MAZ-ING figure (as if she didn't have one already...) and her hair looks lovely, her make up looks lovely. So also well done to Ted Gibson and Mark cosmetics there ;)
Anyhoo.

So then in December 2011, the news came that she'd become the FACE of DKNY. Now that's pretty awesome, but to us Ashers, I guess it wasn't much of a suprise, as the lovely Donna Karan had clearly been a friend for a while!

So we got these beautiful pictures:

Uh-huh. Yup. Even I questioned my sexuality. Now wipe the drool from your face and lets move on.
Ashley turned up in the infamous Times Square in a rather fetching red fur coat to promote/present or whatever she was doing with the MAHOOSIVE new billboard up slap bang in the middle of Times Square.

Little fun fact:

It was up in Times Square for New Years. And so I was sad enough to do this:
Yup. I went on youtube to find a video of the ball dropping in Times Square, screencapped this shot and circled Ashley ;)

Soon enough, we got MORE photos, some ad campaign videos, and more questioning of the sexuality.

PRETTY! Is all I can say. Although pretty doesn't really do it justice.

Another "fun" fact. Ashley was spotted this year wearing the pink dress she modelled!

That dress is pretty. And her dogs are cute. :)

Sooo then Ashley attended a meet and greet kinda thing in Macys, NYC. Her choice of clothes was certainly interesting, but obviously, Ashley was wearing it. She could wear a sack and pull it off. I'm sure that lady's a fashion sorceress. Either that or she just suits EVERYTHING.

My friend Bret (go follow him on Twitter: @unite_and_fight), was a lucky bugger and got to meet her there! Making me highly envious of him of course. If someone's met Ashley, expect me to have at least a tiny grudge against them.. :P

Sehr jealous. That's all I'm saying. XD
I do have something else to say. Loving the lady photobombing in between Bret and Ashley.. XD

So most recently the new DKNY Fall pictures have been released, which are just as incredible as the rest of the pictures on this post.

Feast your eyes, but don't try to eat the computer.

I've seen DKNY clothes for myself many times now.
Theres a DKNY outlet at Bicester Village, theres DKNY in Harrods, and theres the DKNY store in London. In nearly every jewellery store, there are DKNY watches.

So this is my "experience" with DKNY:

Trying not to squee at the sight of Ashley in Harrods

Behind bars in the DKNY store!

The moment of panic when I see the store boarded up! Only for refurbishment!

The new shiny DKNY flag!
pretty stuff. I LOVE that skirt!
With Ashley herself on a staircase ;) Trying not to get in trouble :P

My shiny new DKNY bag from Bicester village! Took off the reduction labels so it looks like I paid $295, not £79! :)

And the bag it came in.. :P
So I hope you've enjoyed this wonderful journey through Ashley's time with DKNY. You better have enjoyed it, I'm meant to be sewing instead of typing! :)

Cosplay - ET8 plans

Hey guys!

This is my post just to let you know what cosplays I'm planning to do for ET8! ;D

So, here's the plan.

Friday Daytime - Alice Cullen - New Moon, Birthday Party
I want to do this one, just because all except ET6, I have worn this dress on the Friday. I have other plans for the party, so I'll be wandering around the hotel in this dress pretty much as soon as I arrive, and then for the opening ceremony. I love this outfit, it's just the dress, necklace and shoes, then done! But I have no idea if the shoes are accurate, they're just small heels. :)

Friday night - Alice Cullen, Breaking Dawn Part 1 Promo

I have no pictures of this outfit as of yet. I was going to do Breaking Dawn Part 2 as the rest of the Cullens were doing this, but annoyingly I've been unable to find a leather jacket similar to Alice's. I've decided to do Breaking Dawn Part 1 as that will fit in anyway, and it is easier to do. I couldn't find a cardigan similar enough to the D&G one, so I've got a jumper, and I'm going to add the ribbon trimming and the buttons to make it similar. I already own a similar skirt and tights. As for the shoes, I'll probably go with my small black heels.

Saturday/Sunday Daytime

I haven't decided on what I'm doing what day for the daytimes, but  I'll definitely be doing the following!

Alice Cullen - New Moon Blue Coat
I just LOVE this outfit. It's one of my favourite outfits! :) It's probably one of the most recogniseable but also most expensive costumes I have. It cost a lot to have the coat custom made, and the gloves and scarf were reasonably pricey. The scarf even had a customs charge on it! I'll probably, hopefully be having photoshoots on both days so I shouldn't have to pick my favourite outfit to have photos in (but it'll most likely be baseball!)

Twilight baseball
This has always been one of the top things on my cosplay wish list. It's just such an iconic Alice costume. And FINALLY I'm going to do it! :D This is is so far, just the jersey is being done so far. I have the cap and socks at home, and my friend is very kindly selling me her baseball undershirt! So exciting :D

 New Moon Volterra.
This is literally going to be a change in and out five second cosplay. Don't get too excited ;D For my photo with Daniel Cudmore, and any other Volturi member that attends, I shall be wearing this for that. That is all. :P

Saturday Night - Alice Cullen, Breaking Dawn Wedding
I'm so excited about this one! :) I'm nearly done making this, and I'm going to be doing this with the other Cullens on Saturday night :) There'll be two Alices...double the awesome ;)

Sunday Night - Ashley Greene, MTV Movie Awards 2009
The time has finally come! I'm finally cosplaying as Ashley Greene herself! :) I'm doing this along with my friends Sam and Gemma who will be dressing as Rob and Kristen, and hopefully Paul will be Kellan! :D

This is pretty much definite...so YAY! Can't wait for the themes, the tickets to be sent and for the schedule! eeepp!

Collectormania 18

Hello my darlings!

So, I've decided to do a round up of cool things I have got up to since leaving my blog for too long.

This post is about Collectormania 18.

Collectormania is probably one of the closest conventions to me, as it's nearish to Aylesbury and I'm also nearish to Aylesbury. Glad we got that out of the way.

Anyway, the original plan was to only go to Collectormania for the Sunday, but us being awesome we went down for both. That was because my friend Izzy was boogying on over to MK on the Saturday, so I purposely booked my photoshoot with Amandla Stenburg (Rue from the Hunger Games, and the darn cutest kid ever) on the Saturday for an excuse to go see McFizz.

So we ambled over to MK in our car, and our first obstacle was to find a parking space. Let me just point out that the MK Dons Stadium usually has convenient spacious parking. I say usually because the buggers decided to DIG UP HALF THE CAR PARK that weekend. Thanks MK peoples. We really love you.
After gallivanting over to Asda next door, where we naughtily parked our car (them folk don't seem to like us convention goers on their lan'), we had a parking space for the next 2 or 3 hours before we'd have to move.

Is it weird that on a weapons stall, with guns and that stuff, I bought Alice's breaking dawn necklace? I think it's hilarious.

After walking around and around and around and around and around that bloody arena (honestly, there's not much else to do except get yourself killed in the dealers room from the crowding), we met up with McFizz for a bit, and then got McDonalds. Not with McFizz, we just went to get lunch after a quick natter.
We went to move the car to the Ikea car park, then went on over to get my pic with Amandla. Fair to say I looked like an idiot when telling her she's cute.

After all that excitement, we drove (and very quickly got lost in the Milton Keyneian roads) to the Shopping Centre to go see my darling girl Ashley Greene in her film "LOL" also starring Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore and this gorgeous dude by the name of Douglas Booth. And the guy that plays Ashley's (Ashley's character name is Ashley...AHAHAHAHH) boyfriend. But he's not very attractive. And he calls everyone a ho, whore and slut. So he's just not very nice.

After that brief and probably inaccurate account of the first day (well, I am listening to Rathbone singing, and his voice does make me doolally), here are some photos:

Rockin' my Breaking Dawn Necklace..in an outfit from Twilight.. :P

Myself and THE Izzel McFizzel

Chief Swan? You there?

At the Odeon... joining my Ice Age buddies.

Looking excessively pleased with myself standing by the LOL poster.. :)

Myself and the adorable Amandla Stenburg :')

Sunday I met Hannah Spearitt and Andrew Lee Potts. Both were really nice, despite seeing them for like a couple seconds for a photo! Andrew was wearing a trilby (drool), and Hannah's hair looked really nice! I also met Natalia Tena, who plays Tonks in Harry Potter, for a photoshoot. I met her last year at LFCC but didn't get a photo, but I decided to get one this time. She always has nice conversations with everyone, and she sure did love Bert the Hippo (I was dressed as Abby this time!). In her words, "It's all about the fucking hippo" ;)

The rest of the day was spent wandering around the stadium, meeting other cosplayers and stalking the beautiful Brandon Routh. We had no idea who he was...but he was hot.. ahahah XD

With an AMAZING Connor Temple Cosplayer!

Cap'n Jack! :)

Natalia Loving Bert :P

Me and Hannah and Andrew (I think Hannah's a bit amused by the freak next to her.. :P )

Abby Sciuto in Asda...completely normal, right?
